Saab wins in Finland
Saab Training & Simulation has signed a contract with the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) for the delivery of its BT46 laser-based tactical engagement system (TES) to the Finnish Army. The company has not disclosed the contract value of the training systems.
The FDF ordered 100 Leopard 2A6 MBT's from the Dutch Army in 2014 that included BT46 training systems. These vehicles are currently being delivered and Saab has now received a follow-on order from the customer for an upgrade to the training systems.
The upgraded systems will be deployed to two regiments, the armoured brigade at Parolannummi and the KASI
