Riptide Software to enhance SAVT for USMC
Riptide Software, along with partners Cole Engineering and Assured Information Technology, has received a contract to support and enhance the Supporting Arms Virtual Trainer (SAVT) for the US Marine Corps.
The SAVT training system provides training for joint terminal attack controllers, forward observers and forward air controllers in the employment of supporting arms and close air support.
All hardware and software enhancements and upgrades will be designed and developed by Riptide to enhance the system's capability. The project is expected to start in July 2018 and run for three years.
Riptide will support the programme manager for training systems by providing training support services and full life-cycle sustainment for SAVT training systems at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, MCB Kaneohe Hawaii, MCB Camp Lejeune, MCB Camp Hansen, Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and the SAVT Test Berth in Orlando.
