The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Defence Force School of Signals Maritime Wing at HMAS Cerberus in Victoria has recently received a new communication simulator. The device will be used to training Communications and Information Systems sailors and will be used on the first pilot course in mid-2019.

The simulator was developed by Australian company Cirrus and was accepted by the School of Signals in December.

Cirrus is no stranger to providing simulation systems to the Australian Defence Forces. Previous projects include the Air Combat Officer Training System, the Helicopter Control Officer Training System and the Mine Hunting Simulation System.
