New Zealand to receive P-8A STE
CAE has received an order from Boeing to provide a P-8A Poseidon Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) and associated synthetic training equipment (STE) for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).
CAE is the major sub-contractor for Boeing on the P-8A OFT and some items of STE; it previously built devices for the USN, Royal Australian Air Force, RAF and Indian Navy.
The company designs and manufactures the P-8 OFT hardware to FAA Level D standards along with software representing the Boeing 737-800 OFT baseline flight model standard and the simulation-based software lab environment that is used for the P-8 OFT.
