Elbit to train RN sub crews

Elbit Systems UK to provide shore-based training at HMNB Clyde.

As part of the UK’s Project Selborne-winning Fisher Training consortium, Elbit Systems UK Ltd has been awarded a £123 million ($166 million) contract from the UK MoD to provide shore-based training.

A major part of this 12-year programme will see Elbit Systems establish the Future Submarine School (FSS) at HMNB Clyde at Faslane in Scotland.

The UK decided to move all of its submarines to Faslane in 2017 and that location became the RN Submarine Centre of Specialisation.

Elbit Systems UK will develop and deliver a new Combat Systems Operator Trainer at the FSS, where it will modernise and manage
