Textron subsidiary gains lion's share of initial work for adversary air live training programme

The USAF has finalised its initial round of selections for its Combat Air Forces Contracted Air Support (CAF CAS) programme, with the award of the final location at Eglin AFB, Florida to Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC).

Textron subsidiary ATAC ended up with the largest share of this adversary air live training programme (more than 50%) in the initial awards covering six airfields.

In addition to Eglin, ATAC was previously selected to provide live training at Luke and Holloman AFBs.

ATAC will provide live training to F-22 and F-35 pilots at Eglin AFB with the award providing more than 1,100
