First Phenom 100 delivered for UKMFTS
Embraer has delivered the first of five Phenom 100 jets to Affinity Flight Training Services for the UK’s Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) programme, the company announced on 4 July.
Under the UKMFTS programme, the aircraft will be used to provide multi-engine pilot training to the UK armed forces.
Embraer’s contract with Affinity includes the five Phenom 100s and support services, as well as an option for additional follow-on aircraft.
The UKMFTS programme is replacing the elementary, multi-engine and basic flying training that is currently delivered on aging platforms with a new integrated solution that includes aircraft, ground based training devicesand courseware. The course takes aircrew from initial training through Elementary, Basic and Advanced flying training phases preparing them for their arrival at their designated Operational Conversion Units.
