Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

Alion Science and Technology announced on 21 September that it has been awarded an $87 million, five-year task order to provide ‘special projects and operational training’ for the US Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC).
Alion will perform research, analysis, design, systems engineering, integration, prototyping and testing services.
It will also validate technology and resources, including unmanned vehicles and their related systems, weapons, and special project needs ‘that will enable United States warfighters to win in complex littoral and maritime environments’, the company noted in a statement.
Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager of Alion Cyber Network Solutions, said: ‘It is imperative that technical solutions provide rapid and accurate mission support for our warfighters. Alion is dedicated to that mission.’
