Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

Northrop Grumman has received a $128 million contract from the US Army to continue providing support for its Mission Command Training Center (MCTC), the company announced on 9 July.
The Mission Training Complex Contractor Support (MTCCS - III Corps) programme provides mission command training for a range of unified land operations in a contemporary operating environment.
Under the contract, Northrop Grumman will continue to provide live, virtual, constructive simulation-driven exercises, gaming-based training, mission staff training and technical support to help prepare soldiers for the battlefield.
Northrop Grumman has provided support to the MCTC for 16 years at Fort Hood and Fort Bliss, Texas; Fort Carson, Colorado; Fort Sill, Oklahoma; Fort Riley, Kansas; and Fort Knox, Kentucky.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.

The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
