MTS-209 to support Thai T-50TH aircraft
Marvin Test Solutions will supply its MTS-209 Common Armament Test Set to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), the company announced on 9 January.
The MTS-209 will form part of a support package being supplied by KAI for the T-50TH multi-role trainer aircraft purchased by the Royal Thai Air Force. The aircraft, set for delivery over the coming 24 months, will replace the air force’s L-39 Albatros trainers.
The MTS-209 is a portable test set for various armament systems used on a range of fighter and training aircraft. It supports a wide range of alternate mission equipment including missile launchers, aircraft pylons, and bomb racks.
The MTS-209 is set in a compact, rugged, flightline-qualified enclosure, with a modular design to simplify logistics, and a flexible, scalable PXI architecture that enables future upgradeability to match evolving test requirements.
