MilSim Asia: Laerdal manikins come to life
Well known internationally as a provider of medical manikins for hospitals and health providers, Laerdal is also a major provider to medical corps amongst militaries around the world.
Singapore, for example, obtained 17 SimMan manikins from Laerdal for the Singapore Armed Forces’ new simulator lab when it was set up several years ago.
At MilSim Asia 2016, Laerdal exhibited SimMan 3G, an adult-sized training manikin ‘designed to deliver the most realistic training possible whilst remaining easy to set up and simple to operate’, according to the manufacturer.
