Kratos aerial gunnery training for Sweden
Kratos Defense and Security Solutions is to provide helicopter aerial gunnery training for the Swedish armed forces under an arrangement announced by the company on 2 September.
The training will be carried out at the Kratos Aircrew Training Center (KATC) in Orlando, Florida.
The training centre provides mission readiness training for aircrew, including skills for aerial gunnery, search and rescue hoist training, and cargo sling operations. Training is carried out on virtual reality and projection aircrew training devices.
Techniques and procedures training for aircrew will include basic firing, scanning, situational awareness, crew coordination, target acquisition, and rescue hoist and cargo sling operations in various all-weather environments.
