KBRwyle receives high-G flight training contract
KBRwyle has received a contract to provide centrifuge-based training for all US Navy and Marine Corps aircrew, the company announced on 15 August.
The contract will see KBRwyle conduct centrifuge-based flight environment training for approximately 600 students annually from the navy's Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron, as well as the Chief of Naval Air Training, Naval Strike Air Warfare Center and the Chief of Naval Air Forces and US Marine Corps.
During training, KBRwyle’s instructors will teach students about the physiological effects of acceleration and countermeasures used in a high-G environment. Students will receive classroom instruction as well as realistic, hands-on training in the company-operated centrifuge that generates acceleration forces equivalent to those experienced during flight.
KBRwyle will provide all personnel, resources, facilities, and maintenance for this training. The period of performance for the single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is five years.
