RSi’s Epic-View visual display system for Rheinmetall Defence’s Embraer KC-390 flight simulator has successfully completed acceptance testing at RSi’s headquarters facility in Coppell, Texas.

The Epic-View Visual Display System features a 220° x 60° field-of-view provided by an 11ft radius collimated optical display system. Seven Norxe P1 IR projectors provide an edge-matched cross-cockpit image driven by the company’s RS200 image generator.

The WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) Norxe P1 LED projector weighs 17kg and has a mean time between failure of 116,000h and a maximum brightness of nearly 4,000 lumens.

The KC-390 Flight Simulator is to be installed in 2020
