The US State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract to the Dutch Government for $110 million for continued F-16 training for the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) in the US.

It is expected that the request will be approved by Congress following its delivery by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

The FMS contract covers services and equipment for the RNLAF’s F-16 Formal Training Unit (FTU) at 162nd Wing, Tucson Air National Guard Base in Arizona. The RNLAF has received training for its F-16 pilots in the US since 1989 and flies around 3,000 hours each
