ITEC 2017: Quantum3D to supply image generator for Turkish helicopter

Quantum3D has revealed that it has been selected to provide its IDX 8000 image generator (IG) and accessories as part of the first flight simulator being delivered to Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in support of its new T-625 helicopter design.

Quantum3D, owned by Havelsan, will provide its Independence IDX 8000 series IG and its MANTIS database generation software on a PC-based hardware platform.

The light utility T-625 is part of a programme initiated in 2014 to replace the Turkish Armed Forces' ageing fleet of UH-1H aircraft. The prototype commenced production in mid-2016. This simulator will support the
