ITEC 2017: LMCO scores twice

Orlando, Florida-based Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), has been awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for the F-16 A/B Block 15 training system. The $24.3 million sole-source FMS contract calls for the company to supply training system hardware, contractor logistics support, spares and software development for the Romanian Air Force.

In 2013, the Romanian government signed a $225 million deal with Portugal for 12 ex-Portuguese Air Force F-16s: nine single-seat F-16As; and three twin-seat F-16Bs. Three of these aircraft were ex-USAF machines that were supplied to Portugal before all were upgraded. The first six aircraft were delivered in September 2016
