Saab has used ITEC 2016 to announce a number of new contracts and highlight their participation in Exercise Arrow, the first time that the US and Finnish defence forces have conducted a joint live exercise together in Finland.
Held 2–13 May at Niinisalo, the exercise brought together the US 2d Cavalry Regiment’s mechanised infantry company and a composite force of regular and reservist troops from the Finnish Karelia, Pori and armoured brigades.
The exercise was undertaken as part of the Finnish Army and the US Army Europe’s bilateral cooperation agreement, the aim of which is to mutually develop tactical skills
