ITEC 2016: LMCO home on the range

The US Department of Defense has announced that Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $424 million cost-plus fixed fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for a number of AN/GPQ-11(V) simulators and services.

The contract authority is the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAVAIR) Weapons Division, which will be responsible for managing the programme.

The AN/GPQ-11(V) Threat Radar Emitter Simulators (TRES) form the core of the contract although other, unspecified threat emitters, are understood to be included. The contract is in support of the US Navy’s Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactical Training Range (AEWTTR) at China Lake, California.
