ITEC 2016: ASI to upgrade C-2A OFT

The C-2A Greyhound has long been the mainstay of the US Navy’s carrier on-board delivery (COD) capability. Delivering everything from personnel to spare parts, the C-2A can operate in extreme weather conditions and crew training is paramount for safe operations.

Tampa-based Aero Simulation Inc (ASI) has announced that it has been awarded the C-2A operational flight trainer (OFT) Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).

Procured by the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), this $13 million programme supports training for the Fleet Replacement Squadron (VAW-120) and the East Coast and West Coast Fleet Logistics Support squadrons (VRC-30
