Inzpire has delivered a European Defence Agency Helicopter Tactics Course at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, Inzpire announced on 23 April.
The three-week course was attended by crews from the Czech Republic and Germany who were experienced across four different helicopter types: Mi-24, Mi-17, EC135 and EC145.
In the first week of the course, the crews received classroom briefings which covered a broad range of topics including electronic warfare, defensive aid systems, battlespace management and combat search and rescue.
The second and third weeks focussed on putting classroom lessons into practice by flying a series of operationally-focused sorties in virtual battlespace simulators under Inzpire’s guidance.
The sorties became more complex with the addition of artificial intelligence-based air and ground threats. This allowed the students to experience the practical application of helicopter tactics in a non-permissive environment.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
