The Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved the procurement of a P-8I training solution, the Indian MoD announced on 4 January.
The training solution will be procured from Boeing along with a ten year maintenance service.
This solution will simulate P-8I aircraft and mission systems to allow the navy to train and rehearse for P-8I operations.
The P-8I aircraft is equipped for long range anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance in support of broad area, maritime and littoral operations.
The first P-8I aircraft was inducted in Indian Navy in 2013. To date, eight aircraft, based at INS Rajali, have been deployed into Indian Naval service. In 2016, the MoD placed a follow-on order for four additional P-8I aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2020.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
