Six years on from the ideas stage, HaptX Gloves, in partnership with ECS, are demonstrating for the first time at I/ITSEC 2018 in Orlando the turnkey system designed to aid military medics in the VR environment.
The technology gives the sensation of a real-life medical environment and allows the user to put on the gloves and participate in a VR scenario. One such example is the user can physically put a soldier into the recovery position, place a dressing and administer an injection while feeling the simulated physical sensation in the VR environment.
