The US Army wants to escape the ‘tyranny of training’ as it continues to look for multi-domain and home based training solutions that are viewed as a tool, not a laborious task.

Ultimately, the US Army wants to change the way it approaches training and put a focus on training towards a task rather than training for the sake of training.

The US Army had previously succumbed to 'the tyranny of training' through the focus on combat training centres with training occurring on a large scale just once every two years with high overheads noted, Gen David Perkins, commanding general
