I/ITSEC 2017: The race for T-X enters the final stages
The US Air Force is continuing to mull over its options for its next advance and the contract for the TX programme is now expected to be awarded in July 2018.
The US Air Force is now evaluating the bids from industry contenders Boeing, Lockheed Martin and DRS Leonardo.
Tom Conard, Boeing’s director of business development at Boeing's Training & Professional Services business unit has used I/ITSEC to provide an update on the US Air Force’s Advanced Pilot Training (APT) T-X programme.
‘Final bids were submitted last March with flight test data submitted in June,’ explained Conard.
