I/ITSEC 2016: Virtual Heroes takes gaming to the next level

Virtual Heroes is showcasing new immersive 3D content training technology at this year’s IITSEC military training and simulation event in Orlando. 

The company, a division of Applied Research Associates (ARA), will be showing its Post Attack Reconnaissance (PAT) within the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge at I/ITSEC. 

PAT is a first person, on-the-ground viewpoint where the user is walking around an air force base intended to familiarise personnel on what to do in the event of an attack on the facility.

For the company the main challenges to overcome when developing PAT were hardware and network restrictions.
