I/ITSEC 2016: Rheinmetall bags combat training contract

Rheinmetall Simulation and Training has won an order worth €10 million ($10.7 million) to expand an existing live training facility in the Middle East-North Africa region. 

The company will supply both hardware and software components to enable the customer to update its existing Mobile Combat Training Centre.  

According to a spokesperson, work on the training centre has already begun and is scheduled to last three years including service.

The order also encompasses the supply of new laser engagement simulations which will enable the inclusions of combat vehicles and weapon systems in the tactical training process.
