I/ITSEC 2015: USMC sees future in augmented reality

While the US Marine Corps (USMC) has made good use of simulation systems it currently has, there are still challenges being faced within the service which can be solved by augmented reality.

Speaking at I/ITSEC, USMC Maj Gen James Lukeman, commanding general, Training and Education Command, identified two main challenges for future training and outlined the potential for augmented reality.

‘The gaps we need help filling are improving decision-making of small unit leaders… and collective small unit training.’
