The US Navy should expand beyond traditional training tools and embrace technology from the gaming industry, a senior official told Shephard at I/ITSEC.
Captain Wes Naylor, commanding officer of Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) Training Systems Division, said there was resistance to using gaming technology but that is now changing.
‘If we want to be smart as a service and bring in the best and brightest of our young Americans, they want to come into a community that’s high-tech and using the latest technology,’ he said.
