French Army picks vehicle cabin simulator providers
Following a competitive tender, French defence procurement agency DGA has picked Agueris (a subsidiary of John Cockerill) and RUAG Defence France to manufacture cabin simulators for vehicles in the Scorpion programme for the French Army.
Simulators in Operation Serket will provide a ‘realistic and kinetic environment for tactical training on army armoured vehicles’, the two companies noted in a 13 October statement.
Serket involves the development and delivery of next-generation technical and tactical simulators for training French troops to use new hardware in the Scorpion programme.
Cabin simulations will cover the Jaguar and Griffon combat vehicles, as well as modernised Leclerc MBTs.
