Embraer Selects RDE for STE
Embraer’s KC-390 tactical transport aircraft has been designed to address the C-130 replacement market which, according to Embraer, totals 700 aircraft.
The company is understood to be currently targeting the Portuguese Air Force that is actively looking for a replacement for its elderly C-130E fleet.
Modern aircraft are frequently sold, with a complete logistic support package that includes spares and synthetic training equipment (STE).
In creating this turnkey package the Brazilian Embraer company has selected Germany’s Rheinmetall Defence Electronics’ (RDE) Bremen-based Simulation and Training business unit to supply a full range of STE for the aircraft.
