Dymech receives indoor live-fire range contract
Dymech Engineering has received a contract from the Canadian Department of National Defence to install a new modular indoor live-fire training range at the Joint Task Force X (JTF X) facility located at Canadian forces Base Kingston.
The new range is expected to be installed and operational in the autumn of 2019. The company will also provide in-service support for an initial two-year period with options up to 18 years.
The new 25m indoor range will offer lane firing at fixed targets and simulated moving targets, as well as simulated operational scenarios requiring a quick response. Such exercises will assist JTF X personnel in maintaining proficiency in firing small arms such as 9mm pistols.
