Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
At the Defence Simulation, Education & Training conference (DSET) Brig Gen William Cole, commander of the US Program Executive Office Simulation Training & Instrumentation (PEO STRI), said the US Army is ‘adapting' its live training systems to operate more effectively with coalition partners.
‘Cooperation on the international level is a key requirement of ours, especially for live training,’ he told visitors on 7 March.
As an example, Cole cited the US Joint Manoeuvre Training Center (JMTC) in Hohenfels, Germany, that currently runs 12 rotations each year, with ‘around 10' of those exercises involving coalition partners.
