DSA 2018: Honeywell to supply engines for Taiwan’s AJT
Honeywell confirmed that it closed a contract last October to supply F124 engines for Taiwan’s new advanced jet trainer (AJT) that will be built by the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) in Taichung.
The announcement was made at this week’s DSA 2018 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur by Tim Van Luven, Honeywell Aerospace’s vice president for aftermarket sales in Asia-Pacific.
He said the company hopes to close on other items, such as the embedded GPS, inertial navigation system, auxiliary power units and environmental control system, in May.
Leonardo DRS also selected the F124 turbofan engine to power the T-100 trainer,
