Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army
The company’s mortar trainer received improvements based on soldier’s feedback.
CAE will deliver 42 Naval Tactical Mission Trainers (TMT) to the Swedish Navy next week.
The system will then be put through it paces with on-site integration and testing at the Naval Warfare Centre in Karlskrona, Sweden.
The delivery follows a 2014 announcement of a contract awarded to CAE from the Swedish procurement authority, Försvarets Materielverk (FMV). Although the contract value is undisclosed, it is reckoned to be a multi-million dollar contract.
The delivery will comprise of 30 command and control consoles and 12 specialising in sonar operations. Thirteen instructor stations will also be delivered allowing students to be monitored
