Cubic awarded USMC I-TESS II contract
Cubic Global Defense (CGD) has received a delivery order from the US Marine Corps for the Instrumented-Tactical Engagement Simulation System II (I-TESS II), the company announced on 3 December. The order is valued at $2.1 million.
The I-TESS II system is a fully integrated ground combat training system in a deployable package. It is designed for use in urban terrain facilities and non-live fire manoeuvre ranges at marine corps bases and installations.
The components of the system include rocket-propelled grenade, small-arms laser transmitter, AT4 anti-tank and anti-armour rocket simulators, and laser detection sensors for personnel, vehicles, mobile and portable command and control systems.
Bill Toti, president, Cubic Global Defense, said: ‘I-TESS II is a turnkey capability that brings new levels of realism in an immersive environment to replicate the threat of live combat scenarios. Cubic looks forward to the continued partnership with the marine corps in offering advanced training technologies and solutions using realistic battle simulations to better prepare our marines.’
