CSRA to deliver ITT for LCS Independence
CSRA has received a 3.5 year delivery order worth $51 million to develop and deliver an Integrated Tactical Trainer (ITT) for the US Navy’s Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship 6, the company announced on 16 October.
CSRA’s VirtualShip training platform is an advanced ship and systems simulation software package that uses hydrodynamics and maritime environmental modelling, and interfaces with external systems and simulations.
The scalable platform is designed to train individuals up to full bridge teams for operations at sea in a safe and immersive training environment.
The simulator will be installed and operated at the LCS training facility in San Diego.
