Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

Calibre Systems has been awarded a place on the $245 million Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Training Systems Support (MTSS) IDIQ contract, the company announced on 8 April.
The contract has a ten-year period of performance.
MTSS provides pre-deployment training to US Marine Corps operating forces within a joint and combined environment.
Under the contract, the company will compete to deliver a wide range of training, computer-based simulation, combined arms staff trainer, MAGTF tactical warfare simulation and deployable virtual training environment training services.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
