CAE has launched its Medallion MR e-Series integrated visual system that has been designed for military fighter and fast-jet training, and specifically, interoperability and networking to support training tasks such as air combat, formation flying and aerial refuelling.
The MR, or Mission Reality system, includes a 360 degree back-projection dome display, laser projectors and the company’s Medallion image generator with associated OGC CDB databases. Laser projector options include the F70 4K from Barco and the 8K projector from JVC. The company can also offer an optional 225 degree version if required.
The 360 degree variant uses 10 projectors.
