Brazilian Navy begins using parachute simulator
The Brazilian Navy on 15 June reported that it has opened a parachute simulator at the Naval Systems Analysis Centre.
The Parachute Phase Simulation (SNPVA) was unveiled to the Special Operations Battalion of Marines (Batalhão Tonelero) during a ceremony which respected social distancing measures.
SNPVA is a modern simulator using state-of-the-art VR equipment and uses precise physical and mathematical modelling to create virtual scenarios in 3D.
Further development of the simulator is expected to continue, throughout 2020 with the Naval Systems Analysis Centre aiming to incorporate new possibilities such as Operative Free Jump activities and expanding into day and night scenarios.
