Bluedrop to update RCAF simulator visuals
Bluedrop Training & Simulation will deliver visual systems upgrades to existing flight simulators of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) used in training pilots under the Contracted Flying Training and Support (CFTS) programme, the company announced on 12 January.
The contract, valued at $2.2 million, was awarded by KF Aerospace Defence Programs as part of a wider scope of work that will see the companies provide the Royal Canadian Air Force's primary, rotary wing and multi-engine pilot training until 2027.
The new upgrades will provide helicopter and multi-engine pilots with updated visual and training systems. Bluedrop will also provide associated training and certifications.
Jean-Claude Siew, vice president of simulation and technology, Bluedrop Training & Simulation, said: ‘We are very pleased to be a member of the CFTS programme supplying state-of-the-art technologies to the air force. CFTS is one of our most demanding projects and we look forward to supporting KF Aerospace Defence Programs in continuously improving training effectiveness.’
