Beechcraft receives NFTC contract
Textron Aviation subsidiary Beechcraft Defense has been awarded a five-year contract by CAE to provide service support for the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) programme, Textron announced on 18 March.
Under the cost-per-flight-hour contract, Beechcraft Defense will provide spare parts, aircraft logistics, engineering and technical manual update support for the NFTC programme, which operates 23 Beechcraft T-6A aircraft for military flight training.
Tom Hammoor, president, Beechcraft Defense, said: ‘We are proud to expand our relationship with CAE and the NFTC programme with this new service contract. Several of the Beechcraft T-6A aircraft in the NFTC fleet have already surpassed 10,000 flight hours and we look forward to supporting future operations to ensure their continued success in training the next generation of military pilots.’
The Beechcraft T-6 is designed for teaching the most basic introductory flight training tasks through the more challenging and complex advanced training missions.
