BAE Systems to support intelligence training
BAE Systems has received a four-year contract from the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) to help enhance the situational awareness and mission preparedness of soldiers deployed globally.
The $100 million contract will see the company provide technical, functional and general support to the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade to better understand regional threats, and update and improve soldier training.
The work in the contract aligns with INSCOM’s mission to consolidate, modernise and strengthen its ISR capabilities as outlined in the army’s 2020 Intelligence strategy document.
Peder Jungck, VP and general manager of BAE Systems’ intelligence solutions business, said: ‘The demand for intelligence services and support continues to grow as our soldiers remain engaged on multiple fronts. We are helping to better inform the military decision makers responsible for ensuring the security and effectiveness of global operations.’
