Cubic tailors mortar simulator for the US Army

Alion Science and Technology has received a Training Systems Contract (TSC) IV for training systems, services and content to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, Florida, the company announced on 3 August.
Awarded by the US Naval Air Systems Command, this multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has an approximate value of $980 million and a period of performance of up to nine years.
The NAWCTSD TSC IV enables the design, development, production, test and evaluation and modification of training systems, as well as the delivery of training content and services.

The company will operate in two new locations in the coming years to better support US services.
This type of tool provides more realistic training easing the incorporation of new scenarios that accurately represent the threats of the battlefield.
The Engineering Corps has been conducting individual instruction using FLAIM Systems’ Sweeper and should start collective deployments in 2025.
The next-generation platform is motion-compatible and can be used in OTW and NVG applications.
The system can be used to prepare soldiers for both drone offensive operations and CUAS missions.
