Airbus operational as MFTS aircraft service provider
Airbus Helicopters has completed its service provision build-up for the UK’s Military Flying Training System (MFTS), the company announced on 2 October.
Airbus Helicopters is now fully embedded at Royal Air Force Shawbury and RAF Valley, supporting Ascent’s training delivery from newly modernised facilities.
The company completed delivery of 29 Helionix-equipped H135s and three Helionix- and hoist-equipped H145s earlier in 2018, marking the end of the delivery phase of the MFTS contract.
