USSOCOM outlines LTATV follow-on plans

United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has released additional information surrounding its interest in a follow-on Light Tactical All Terrain Vehicle (LTATV) platform. LTATVs are currently being provided to USSOCOM by Polaris Defense under a five year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract running from July 2015 to July 2020.

The LTATV follow-on program outline was provided in the 4 December “special notice” during a recent LTATV industry day, which was held on 14-15 November in Tampa, Florida.

Addressing the justification for a new vehicle platform, officials identified a continuing USSOCOM requirement for a lightweight vehicle that “bridges the gap”
