USSOCOM identifies expanded technology needs

US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has identified an expansion of its interest in a broad range of technologies to support the special operations operator

The focus areas were outlined in a recent modification to the existing Broad Agency Announcement for “Advancement of Technologies for Use by Special Operations Forces”. The 1 November 2018 modification, revealed additional requirements identified by USSOCOM’s Program Executive Office for Special Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Exploitation (PEO-SRSE).

According to the modification, the mission of PEO SRSE is “to discover, evaluate and transition technologies to provide an asymmetric advantage" for SOF.
