SOFIC 2019: USSOCOM identifies acquisition technology focus
SOF representatives have pointed to a number of specific technology focus areas, including next generation ISR and loitering strike capabilities, during an introduction to Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics activities at SOFIC 2019.
According to Karl “Rock” Rozelsky, deputy program executive officer for SOF Warrior, USSOCOM is “a combatant command with an area of focus covering the entire globe.”
Quantifying the current status of that focus, he said that the command currently includes 70,202 individuals, with 5,549 of those members currently deployed to 74 locations.
The global vision has led to interest in a wide array of programs,
