Japan to set up DARPA-style institute to tackle evolving threat of cyber warfare
Japan’s Ministry of Defense is devoting government-level effort and funding to tackling the growing problem of cyber warfare.
The US Army Special Operations Command has completed a workshop focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), in an effort to better understand next-generation technology in support of the Army Special Operations Forces Operating Concept.
Conducted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on 12th December, the first workshop discussed new ideas, concepts, technologies and capabilities which could maintain an “enduring competitive advantage over our adversaries,” an official statement read.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chief of Staff of USASOC’s G9 directorate, which is responsible for developing new concepts and technologies, Robert Warburg, explained: “The workshop furthered our understanding
