SOFIC 2018: SOF community awaiting decisions on new attack helicopter
On the road to developing the US Army's next-generation helicopter fleet, the special forces community is working with the larger service to help guide requirements while also waiting with bated breath for key decisions to be made later this year.
Speaking with Shephard at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference in Tampa on 24 May, Col David Phillips — the program executive office for rotary wing within Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) — laid out his priorities and participation in Future Vertical Lift (FVL) planning.
Phillips explained that the SOF community is 'latched up' with the army to develop FVL
